Secondary Employment Policy

PURPOSE:

Circumstances sometimes warrant having secondary employment to University of
Wisconsin Medical Foundation (UWMF) employment. This policy outlines your
obligations should this occur.

POLICY:

An employee employed in a secondary position outside of UWMF, must give priority to
his or her work schedule and responsibilities at UWMF. The external position cannot
compromise the Confidentiality Policy of the organization, interfere with job
performance, or conflict with the UWMF’s mission.

UWMF is unable to provide a permanent second position within the organization that
would require a work week of more than 40 hours.
