The purpose of this policy is to define the process for reporting, investigating, and resolving potential
conflicts of interest for outside activities and interests for University of Wisconsin Organ and Tissue
Donation (UW OTD) staff members and advisory board members. It is the policy of UW OTD to comply
with the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics (UWHC) Codes of Ethics on Conflicts of Interest and all
applicable regulatory requirements.
A. All UW OTD advisory board members will receive annual compliance training and will report
outside activities per the advisory board bylaws. All potential conflict of interests will be
investigated and resolved per the bylaw and records will be maintained by UW OTD.
B. All UW OTD staff members will comply with the UWHC Code of Ethics on Conflicts of Interest.
C. In the first quarter of each year, UW OTD staff will be prompted to review the UWHC Code of
Ethics on Conflicts of Interest and to comply with the reporting outside activities and interests
D. All potential conflict of interests for staff will be investigated and resolved by the UWHC
E. Conflict of interest documentation for staff will be maintained by the UWHC Legal Services
