TITLE
PARKING PERMIT USAGE WHEN ON-CALL

I. PURPOSE

To provide OR/PACU personnel optional parking when on standby call.

II. POLICY

A. Parking permits will be available for personnel on standby call at University
Hospital Surgical Services.
B. Permits may be picked up the night before you are on-call. Return the parking
permit promptly on the next shift of work to assure other team members the option
to park when on-call.
C. Escort to vehicles will be provided to employees whose vehicles are parked in lots
other than the parking ramp. Call the Security Office at 3-7065 and they will
arrange to take you to your car. If you wish to be escorted to your car, feel free to
call Security. Refer to off-hours shuttle service link in U-Connect under
Parking/Transportation for shuttle hours and phone numbers.
D. AFCH staff (OR RN’s and ST’s and PACU RN’s) may utilize the B level AFCH
ramp only upon being called back in to work while on standby. They must display
the ramp dashboard placard as well as utilize the totem to gain access through the
gate. Utilization of this parking is prohibited at all other times and vehicles may be
ticketed and towed.
