Title:
Food and Supplies Procurement
for Departments Other Than
Culinary Services


I. PURPOSE

This is to standardize the procedures and accountability for food and supply issues to UWHC
departments.

II. POLICY
Food and supplies may be requisitioned by other hospital and clinic departments when the items
are needed for patient therapy (group or individual). The requesting department will be charged
for these items.

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Requisitions for food and supplies should be placed through the Netcatering on-line
ordering system.
B. At least 3 days (weekdays) notice is required for all food orders and all orders for meal
substitutes.
C. All orders for food and supplies from the Culinary Services must be picked up by the
requestor for orders within the CSC or AFCH at F4/150. For orders to outside clinics,
transport will be arranged through Facilities and Engineering Services.
D. All orders need to be signed for at the time of pick up.
E. The appropriate department heads will be billed monthly for all food and supplies requests
from Culinary Services.
