Payroll Rounding Structure

Payroll Rounding Structure - Pay & Benefits, Paycheck, Your Paycheck (UWHC)

Focus

Effective October 23, 2011, UWHC will be changing the payroll rounding structure from a structure which always rounds the shift up to the next tenth hour to rounding each punch to the nearest tenth hour. This change affects any employees who punches in and out time at a time clock, on TimePC or over the telephone.

Under our new system, which is an industry standard, employees will have a more professional rounding structure where they may punch in and out within a range of minutes. As always, employees should continue to carefully watch their punches to control incidental overtime.

The table below provides a more detail of how each time will be rounded. “X” is the hour in which the punch is recorded. Total Hours shows the translation between the rounded time in minutes to the tenth hour in the timekeeping system. Differentials will also be rounded according to this schedule.
