Pay Structure Implementation
Since the January 10, 2016 implementation of four of the seven pay structures, the UW Health Compensation team continues to review positions for movement to the new pay structures. To date, over 60% of employees in almost 50% of job titles have been reviewed and moved to the new pay structures. In addition to supporting departments integrating, the Compensation Team has been focusing on the remaining jobs with a goal of reviewing all job titles by end of 2018.
As important as compensation changes are to achieve market competitiveness and internal consistency, UW Health recognizes that financial compensation is just one part of attracting and retaining the very best employees. Our total rewards philosophy includes other benefits such as health insurance, retirement benefits, paid time off, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development and providing a challenging and engaging work environment. We are addressing all these important areas as part of a balanced approach to recognizing and rewarding employees.
