When your resignation is submitted by your manager, you will receive an email with details about your benefits at termination and options to continue certain benefits. 

You have 60 days to decide whether or not you want to pick up COBRA. Instructions for enrollment are included in the COBRA packet sent out to you.

Terminate at the End of the Month in Which Your Employment is Terminated

Flexible Spending Accounts terminate at the end of the month in which your last payroll deduction is taken

Terminate at the End of the Month One Month Beyond Your Termination Date

Terminates on Your Last Day of Employment

Wisconsin Retirement System

If you leave your contributions in the retirement system:

Supplemental Retirement Accounts

Questions regarding your Tax Sheltered Annuity (TSA) account can be directed to the vendor for more information about your distribution options.

Tuition Reimbursement

An employee who voluntarily separates his/her employment from UW Health within twelve (12) months of receiving tuition reimbursement will be expected to pay back the last reimbursement amount received. 

Employees who separate employment with UWHC but remain with UW Health will not be subject to the repayment provision.
