Parental Leave through UW Medical Foundation

Through UW Medical Foundation, Physicians may take up to 12 weeks of leave each year for the birth or adoption of a child, or placement of a foster child. To utilize this benefit, you must be employed by UW Medical Foundation for at least one year (minimum of 1,000 hours worked). The amount of leave time follows FMLA guidelines of up to 12 weeks during a 12-month period.

UW School of Medicine and Public Health

Physicians also receive 22 days of paid vacation days each year from the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. Vacation time is received every July and is prorated to FTE. To learn more, contact Employee Services at (608) 262-5650.
