Focus

Do you want to quit smoking, or stop chewing tobacco? UW Hospital and Clinics is here to support you and help you kick the habit! Here are several options available to UWHC employees to help in your effort to quit:

Employee Assistance Program (LifeMatters): UW Health's Employee Assistance and Work/Life Program has a phone-based tobacco cessation-coaching program that’s free for all UWHC employees and their family members. You will work one-on-one with the same coach for a total of six sessions. The coach will call you directly for all of the scheduled calls. During the first session, the coach will discuss your history of tobacco use, your motivation level to quit, set a quit date, and more; this session lasts approximately 45-60 minutes. The five follow-up sessions are approximately 15-20 minutes in length. In addition, you have unlimited access to a counselor 24/7/365 for additional support. These services are free and confidential.

For more information, or to get started, visit LifeMatters at mylifematters.com or by calling 1-800-634-6433. Company Code is UWH1.
