Additional Family Supports offer free access to the most comprehensive database of self-pay services for all UW Health employees and physicians. Free background checks and targeted search functions ensure that you find the best match and an ideal caregiver for your family.
Find providers by searching local caregivers or posting a job yourself. Look for experienced nannies and sitters for evening and weekend care, companion caregivers, long-term child or adult/elder care, pet sitters and homework help.
UW Health employees and physicians can also jump ahead on the waiting list at participating child care centers nationwide with Preferred Enrollment access and take advantage of exclusive Tuition Discounts on regular full or part-time center-based child care, for children two years and above, at participating centers.
With Additional Family Supports, you get access to:
- SitterCity: This comprehensive care website allows UW Health employees and physicians to enjoy unlimited, free access to a nationwide network of caregivers where employees self-select additional services to find care solutions such as nannies, after school or weekend babysitters, long-term caregivers, pet care, elder planning, tutors and more. The services that are arranged are scheduled and paid for by employees. UW Health staff also have access to unlimited, free basic background checks for caregivers they are connecting with through this program. Please note: This program is separate from, and does not replace, the Care.com benefit also available to UW Health employees.
- Pet Care: SitterCity also connects you with options for all your pet care needs, including dog walking, bathing, grooming and overnight care.
- Years Ahead: A team of expert senior care advisors is available to assist UW Health employees and physicians free of charge as they navigate through senior care options for their loved ones. These master degree-level experts provide unlimited one-on-one planning services to help employees and their families assess various senior care options, including how to pay for care, help in facilitating family discussions, scheduling interviews and tours and creating a care plan based on loved one’s independence level and need.
