2017 Practice Council Report Out
The purpose of the Nurse Practice Council is to address all aspects of nursing practice across UW Health utilizing evidence based practice and current professional nursing standards to ensure excellent nursing care for patients and families.
Develop, implement, evaluate and optimize:
- Feedback on clinical policies and procedures
- Direct care workflows
- Alignment of role responsibility with the scope of practice
- Documentation processes
- Practice competency
- Nursing care delivery systems
Monthly (2nd Tuesday, 0730-1100)
Regular participation, no unexcused absences and no more than 2 excused absences.
What sorts of things need to be endorsed by the Nursing Practice Council?
Topics that impact/change nursing practice or topics that are nursing practice issues requiring discussion should be endorsed by the Practice Council.
What do I do if I have a practice question?
Speak with a current Practice Council member or use the submit a question promo to send an idea to the Practice Council.
