2017 NCC Report Out

Purpose

The purpose of the NCC is to support, guide and oversee the seven core councils and the Unit Council of Chairs in achieving stated accountabilities. The NCC is the clearinghouse for shared governance work.

Accountabilities

  1. Connecting councils to Nursing Executive Council (NEC)
  2. Ongoing reporting relationship between Nursing Coordinating Council and the Nursing Executive Council (NEC)
  3. Solicit and allocate resources from respective groups
  4. Prioritize and assign projects to the appropriate council(s)
  5. Track the status of assigned projects
  6. Ensure implementation of action plans
  7. Participate in strategic planning
  8. Support respective councils with conflict resolution (ex. attendance issues, membership)
  9. Act as a repository for questions and inquires

Meeting Frequency

Monthly (1st Wednesday, 0730-1100)

Minimum Expectations

Regular participation, no unexcused absences and no more than 2 excused absences.
