The Web Center, along with the UW Health Marketing and Communications department, maintains a robust email communications program for both UW Health staff and external audiences consisting of patients and the general public.
Do you have news to share with internal audiences at UW Health?
Efforts are underway to reduce the number of standalone emails and consolidate messages into regularly distributed e-newsletters tailored by audience type. Below are details about our three primary vehicles – In Brief, Leadership Briefing and Physician/APP Briefing – and how we use them to share information via email across our organization.

We maintain more than a dozen e-newsletters for external audiences consisting of patients, the general public and health care professionals. These communications have several goals, including to:
- Serve as a trusted health and wellness resource for subscribers
- Build affinity with the UW Health brand
- Be more present in the lives of our patients, their families and caregivers
- Motivate action and involvement, such as event participation or making donations
