Harassment, Discrimination and Retaliation (9.27) - Inside UW Health, About Us, Employee Handbook (UWHC), Valuing Differences

It is UWHC's policy to provide a work environment free from unlawful discrimination and harassment for all persons. Discrimination and harassment on the basis of an individual's age, race, creed or religion, color, disability, sex, marital status, national origin, ancestry, arrest or conviction record, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, use or non-use of lawful products off the employer's premises during non-working hours (i.e., smoking), or membership in the National Guard, state defense force or any military reserve unit are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Complaints of discrimination and harassment will be investigated, and retaliation against an employee for bringing a discrimination or harassment concern or complaint in good faith, or for participating in an investigation of such a concern or complaint, is prohibited.

Employees who believe they have been harassed or subjected to discrimination or retaliation are encouraged to report these incidents to their supervisor (or another manager if the supervisor is involved in the harassment) or a Human Resources/Employee Relations Consultant at (608) 263-6500.
