Emergency Preparedness - Inside UW Health, About Us, Employee Handbook (UWHC), Health, Safety and Security

Focus

For emergencies or incidents which are not consistent with routine operations, employees should refer to the Safety/Emergency Management web page for assistance or to the quick response guide (“flipchart”), located throughout UWHC for guidance on responding to a crisis situation by communicating effectively to others. Employees are expected to know their roles in emergency situations. Guidance is provided on severe weather, violent intruder, fire, missing/abducted infant/child, and more. Employees will be notified that an emergency plan is in effect by an overhead announcement, page, mass email or U-Connect System Alert indicating which CODE is in effect.
