UWHC encourages full discussion between an employee and his/her manager to informally resolve an employee's concern regarding discipline he/she has received. When an informal approach is not successful in resolving the concern, an employee is entitled to file a formal appeal. Depending on the level and type of discipline received, the formal appeal process may include up to 4 levels of review. Some disciplinary actions are excluded from the appeal process.
Effective July 1, 2014, prior to issuing discipline, an employee is entitled to have a UWHC co-worker as his/her peer support in attendance at the various levels of the appeal process.
