QlikView is the Interactive Data Exploration Tool of choice for UW Health. QlikView is one of many tools that are used by the UW Health analytic community in providing data to the organization. QlikView is a visual analytic tool that helps turn existing data into knowledge by enabling the user to explore the data connected to the application.

How do I get access to QlikView?

How do I login to QlikView?

To login to QlikView, do one of the following:

  1. Open a UConnect session -> Select “Quick Links” -> From the drop-down menu, select “QlikView UW Health” from the “Business Links” section
  2. Go to the following URL: https://qvdashboards.uwhealth.org/qlikview/index.htm

Sign in using your UWHealth network user id and password.

How do I log out of QlikView?

Close out of all Internet browser windows.

How do I request a QlikView Application or Dashboard to be developed?

If you would like to request that a QlikView application be built for you, please touch base with the Enterprise Analytics (EA) Client Team Lead for your area. As preparation, you may fill out a QlikView Application Request Form located below. Your EA Client Team Lead will work with you to determine the appropriate next steps and may recommend a different tool based on your request and information provided. How do I request modifications to an existing QlikView Application or Dashboard?

Please work with your Enterprise Analytics (EA) Client Team Lead to request modifications.

Can I create my own dashboard?

At this time, we only have identified a subset of staff that have been trained in development.

How long does it take to develop a dashboard?

The dashboard project timeline will be determined after the report specifications are completed.

Can I access QlikView from Health Link?

Yes. You may open a QlikView application by utilizing the U-Connect link within Health Link. From U-Connect, click on "Quick Links" and then select "QlikView UW Health" from the drop-down menu from the "Business Links" section.

Also note that several QlikView applications have also been set up to display a link to the application from your "Radar Dashboard" within Health Link. If you have access to these applications, you will see a link to the applications that are available.

How can I save my favorite views or selections within a Dashboard?

Use the ‘Add Bookmark’ icon from the QlikView menu to save the bookmark. Later you can refer back to your favorite views or selections via the QlikView menu ‘Select Bookmark’ dropdown list.

How do I know if the data is current?

The date the data was last refreshed is posted on the information page on each dashboard.
