Acupuncture, Healing Touch and Massage Therapy

Inpatient acupuncture, healing touch and massage therapy/bodywork treatments are available to all patients who are interested. These services can be helpful for many issues common to patients in the hospital, including pain, anxiety, nausea and sleep disturbances. All inpatient therapists, healing touch providers and acupuncturists have been screened and hired by UW Health Integrative Health and have been oriented specifically to work in the inpatient setting.

Inpatient Treatments

Inpatient treatments require a physician order. To request an inpatient acupuncture, healing touch or massage therapy/bodywork session, the physician needs to enter an order in Health Link. The path to place the order is:

Consults, then Non-Physician Consult, then Integrative Health, then identify if it is for acupuncture, healing touch or massage therapy

Once an order for a session has been entered by the physician, we try our best to see that patient within the next 24 hours. However, we cannot guarantee that a provider will always be available. Call (608) 262-3682 or (608) 262-3689 with any questions regarding inpatient services. Both lines are staffed from 7:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

This is a fee for service program. Sessions are $35 for 30 minutes of massage therapy or healing touch and $70 for acupuncture treatment. Payment at the time of the treatment is required. We accept cash, checks or credit cards (Visa and MasterCard only).

Outpatient Treatments

Integrative health also offers services to outpatients at the following locations:

Outpatient appointments can be scheduled by calling (608) 262-WELL (9355). Treatments at UWCCC are for UWCCC patients only.
