Are UWHC CPR courses available at night?

The Emergency Education Center does offer CPR certification classes at night. CPR courses begin at 5pm. To find out about course availability, go to uwhealth.org's classes and events section and search for the class you are interested in taking.

How can I register for a CPR course?

UWHC employees can find details about current CPR recognition and renewal courses on uwhealth.org. Go to the classes and support groups section and enter "CPR" in the search criteria. Descriptions and registration information can be found here.

I can't locate my CPR card. How can I find out when my CPR certification expires?

In order to find out when your CPR certification expires, you need to call the Emergency Education Center at (608) 263-7259. They will be able to look up your record and help you.

If my current CPR certification expires, how long do I have to renew?

The American Heart Association allows NO grace period to renew certification courses. A CPR Renewal course must be completed prior to the end of the expiration month printed on the CPR Card.

My CPR card has expired. Which CPR course is the best one for me?

What does the CPR Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course cover?

The AHA course teaches CPR and AED for adults, children and infants, and how to relieve choking.

What is the difference between the CPR Recognition and CPR Renewal courses?
