At this month’s Clinical Grand
Rounds, clinicians will learn about
UWHC’s commitment to safe patient
handling (SPH). Nurses will share their
experiences while acting as SMART
(Safe Movement and Repositioning
Techniques) Champions regarding
facilitators and barriers to program
implementation as well as helpful
strategies to overcome the barriers.
Outcomes from implementing the SPH
program on an early adopter unit will
also be shared.
