MEDICAL HOME – The Clinical Staff Educator will have an understanding of the above
programs and the role of CSE in each of them.

EMERGENCY TRAINING - The Clinical Staff Educator assigned to this program area
will be able to:

Train the emergency protocols, policies and all other emergency materials
Engage staff in an effective simulation and facilitate a meaningful debriefing
Develop emergency training content and scenarios
Provide feedback to clinic managers using Emergency Training Rating Tool
DEBRIEFING-The Clinical Staff Educator assigned to this program area will be able to:
Describe the Debriefing Policy and explain the Debriefing Algorithm
Facilitate a non-judgmental debriefing that engages staff in open dialogue
CRASH CART- the Clinical Staff Educator assigned to this program area will be able
to:

Identify and explain the rationale and use for all contents of the crash cart
Train staff in the use of defibrillators and AEDs
Know the location and who responds with the crash cart for multi-level structures;
and be able to locate the list of Defibrillator/AEDs for each clinic/department in the
CSE folders

PATIENT SAFETY NET (PSN) The Clinical Staff Educator is aware of this process and
documentation and is able to review, summarize and provide feedback on submitted
PSNs as needed

PROGRAM PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION – The Clinical Staff Educator assigned
to manage an organization program area will be able to:

Oversee the communication and tasks assigned to the COA and other educators
relating to the program area
