As the appointed Safety Officer, her first priority is “Safety First.” Marisa is well versed on many of the regulatory standards and laws that impact how we maintain our facility and environment. The Safety Department, and Marisa, are your resource! Let us help your area by finding potential issues before TJC or CMS arrive. Safety has oversight of the Environment of Care, Life Safety and Emergency Management chapters of TJC.

In consultation and collaboration with others who have patient safety responsibilities, including senior leadership, the patient safety officer works to produce measurable improvements in patient safety. The Patient Safety Officer serves as a resource for the organization on issues of patient safety and can be reached through phone, pager or email.
