Learning Center Resources
Health Facts for You
From medication instructions to vital information about a variety of diseases, conditions, and procedures, you can help patients learn more about how they can care for themselves with an extensive library of Health and Nutrition Facts For You.
Pre-operative teaching sessions are taught by Learning Center nurses Monday-Friday for a variety of adult and pediatric surgical populations and pediatric diabetes. We also partner with Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging (WIHA) to teaching a falls prevention class in the community called “Stepping On.”
Learning Center nurses are available Monday-Saturday 8am-4:30pm and support patients, families and staff at University Hospital, American Family Children's Hospital and UW Health at The American Center. Any licensed provider may request a consult for assistance with diabetes self-management education (pediatric and adult), heart failure, anticoagulation and alcohol brief intervention.
