How do I find where a class is located?

 How do I know when and where orientation classes are?

Orientation classes including New Employee Orientation, Health Link Training, and Nursing Department training can be found on the UW Health New Employee Onboarding Calendar in Outlook. Refer to this document to learn how to utilize the calendar.

When are competencies due?

Completed competency paperwork must be turned in to the nurse manager or nursing education specialist before the end of orientation. If competencies are not completed within the defined time frame, the employee will be taken off work without pay until it has been completed. Please refer to Policy 3.25 Department of Nursing Competency Assessment Process.

When I am on orientation and attending a class, what code should I clock in with?


Where can I find resources to prepare for the annual telemetry test?

Telemetry study materials are located here.

Where can I find presentations from Registered Nurse Orientation (RNO)?

RNO presentations are housed on the Education & Development Workspace. It will require you to log-in.

How do I find study materials for CPR, ACLS, PALS, etc.?

Emergency education classes such as CPR or ACLS are provided by the Emergency Education Center. Contact the EEC for information about study materials and books. You can also find the algorithms through Up To Date.
