3.04 Patient Concerns - Departments & Programs, UW Hospital and Clinics, Compliance, Code of Conduct/Ethics, Other Ethical Issues

Focus

  1. UWHC encourages patients and families to discuss any concerns regarding their medical care and treatment with members of the medical and nursing staff. The Hospital has established a patient’s bill of rights to ensure that patients and families understand the care to which they are entitled and are informed of their rights and responsibilities.
  2. In patient care matters, where mutual satisfaction cannot be achieved, it is the policy of UWHC to involve the Patient Representative, the Ethics Committee, or the appropriate Administrator to resolve the conflict.
