Donald Park Habitat Restoration

1945 State Hwy 92, Mount Horeb

Donald Park habitat restoration projects are done every Tuesday and the second Saturday of the month from 8:30am-noon throughout the year. Meet at the "bunkhouse" on Sutter Drive in the park. Current projects include removal of invasive species, prairie planting and seed collection, as well as developing and maintaining equestrian trails.

Dane County Parks Volunteer Program

The parks throughout Dane County have regular volunteer opportunities. A few of the sites include Indian Lake, Goose Pond and Lussier Heritage Center.

Madison audobon Society

The Madison Audubon Society is proud to sponsor nearly 100 field trips and programs on an annual basis. Led by scores of skilled and knowledgeable volunteers, these outings and activities are offered at no cost to the participants. Field trips are organized by the Education/Programs committee on a yearly basis. Visit its website to find opportunities in South Central Wisconsin.

WISDOM PRAIRIE

Wisdom Prairie projects offer volunteer opportunities on Wednesday and Saturday mornings throughout the year. Work projects may include collecting prairie seed; maintaining rain gardens, green roofs and nature trails; pulling invasive weeds; staining nature trail signs; splitting firewood; and picking apples.
