If you are used to typing in numbers or medical codes into Epic, those numbers will be changing on October 1, 2014. See examples

If you are currently using a “Quick Guide” or form to assist you with choosing numbers (medical codes) or that has medical codes on it, your guide or form must be updated to be ICD-10 compliant.

Need an example? Resources (the numbers listed here are ICD-9-CM codes, and will not be valid on October 1, 2014.
