Periodically, educational sessions will be offered to AFCH staff about child restraint usage. Look for signs and announcements in staff lounges, the hospital intranet site, and staff mailboxes. Staff is encouraged to attend and learn about basic child passenger safety to help them identify potential issues with patients' child restraint, helping them know when to consult a child passenger safety technician.
In-services can also be arranged for a group of employees by calling (608) 890-8078. Any AFCH employee who is interested in becoming a certified child passenger safety technician is encouraged to contact the Child Passenger Safety Program coordinator for information on upcoming classes. The program is always looking for staff to be part of the Child Passenger Safety Core Team.
