Does the hospital buy the art on display, or is it donated?
The hospital has been collecting both donated and purchased art for over 30 years. Donated art must fit the hospital's standards and be cleared by the hospital’s art coordinators prior to acceptance.
Artwork is purchased on a project-by-project basis in conjunction with construction and remodeling projects. In addition, we have 8 rotating gallery spaces with art on loan from local artists. Artists whose work is on exhibit at the hospital pay a commission from sales, which helps fund the art program.
If I see artwork I like that is not in the display areas and wish to know more about it, who should I contact?
Please note the location of the artwork, the inventory number located on the bottom of the frame, and any other distinguishing features about the pieces and call art coordinator Mandy Kron at (608) 263-5992. They will check the art inventory for more information.
If I see artwork that has been damaged or defaced, what should I do?
Please contact art coordinators Mandy Kron at (608) 263-5992 with location of the damaged work.
