Collection Instructions:

Specimens: urine, bile, bowel biopsy, duodenal fluid or biopsy, liver aaspirates or cysts, lung aspirates, bronchial wash, pulmonary biopsy, sigmoidoscopic material, sputum


Urine for Schistosoma haematobium should be collected between noon and 3 pm for peak excretion or during a 24 hour collection with no preservatives.


Other specimens should be collected in a sterile screw cap container.
