HLA class I low-to-mid level resolution typing typically used to match donor and recipients for organ transplantation and HLA-matched platelet transfusion. Commonly ordered with HLA-A and HLA-B locus for class I HLA typing.

No transfusions (RBC, WBC, Platelets) within 24 hours prior to collection.
