Patient Preparation:

Patient should have nothing to eat or drink (except water) for 8-10 hours before test.

Collection Instructions:

The patient ingests a solution containing 75 gm of glucose. A blood specimen is drawn 2 hours post-ingestion.

Collection Volume: 3 mL

Pediatric Collection Volume: 1 mL

If delay in testing, remove from cells, clot, or gel.
