Patient should have nothing to eat or drink (except water) for a minimum of 8 hours before test.

Collection Instructions:

A fasting blood glucose specimen is drawn. The patient ingests a solution containing 100 gm of glucose. Blood samples are drawn at 60 minutes, 2 hours, and 3 hours post-ingestion.
