Preventive Health Care is an approach used to ensure that patients are receiving appropriate screening to prevent or attenuate disease at various life stages. Screening can include a questionnaire, blood test or procedure, such as a colonoscopy. 

UW Health utilizes decision support tools, such as Health Maintenance or Best Practice Advisories, in Health Link to track what preventable diseases or conditions for which the patient needs to be screened at various ages. The list is continually evolving and current topics are listed below.
